TCDiVid – RIP Stations

Everything starts here.

All films that you want to show needs to be prepared in a special manner. This process – called ripping – is quite easy to handle, can be managed even by users with little knowledge and runs nearly fully automated.

Our rip stations are capable of working with up to 4 DVDs in parallel. A bulk of new films can be prepared over night subject to capacity. Reading one DVD takes about 10 to 20 minutes. The process of transforming the content runs fully automated and needs no attendence.

The new film will be automatically added to your program after the rip process has finished. The previously scanned cover – used for displaying a film in a menu – will be assigned automatically.

  • ully automated reading of up to 4 DVDs in parallel
  • variable compression rate (memory vs. quality)
  • automatic detection of film formats (4:3 or 16:9)
  • ripping of series, DVDs with more than one film
